When and why did you start playing hockey?
I started playing hockey at the age of 6, cause my mother used to play and she took me to a club.
Can you give us a summary about your career?
Debut at the national team in 2003 at a South American championship.
I’ve played 3 world cups (1 gold, 2 bronzes), 3 Olympics (1silver, 1 bronze), 9 champions trophy (6 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze), 2 pan American games (1 gold, 1 silver).
How does your weekly life looks like?
I train every day twice a day. And I try to go to the university in the afternoon between shifts.
Do you have plans to play in Europe in the coming years?
I’ve played in Spain for 5 years, at Club de campo, and for the moment I’m not thinking in going back.
When did you start playing for Las Leonas and what does that mean for an Argentinian girl?
I started in 2003 when I was 18 years old and just finished school.
I’m really proud of being part of Las Leonas, I really enjoy of playing hockey and it’s an honour to represent my country.
Favorite goal in your career?
The first goal I scored in the world cup 2010 final at Rosario, Argentina.
What was the happiest period of your career?
I’ve enjoy every moment during my career, I really love playing hockey, competing, training, everything!
In Argentina, hockey is a massive women sport. Is the sport still growing there?
It’s the first women sport and it’s still growing more and more every year.
Thoughest opponent you played against?
The Netherlands in the 2014 world cup semi final.
Do you have a nickname?
Everyone calls me Carlita!
